Crook County Board of Commissioners Public Community Meeting August 20, 2025 at 6pm
The Crook County Board of Commissioners will attend a Public Community Meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Carey Foster Hall, located at 590 SE Lynn Blvd, Prineville, OR 97754. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an update on the County’s Transportation System Plan (TSP), which addresses key issues such as road safety, congestion, and access, with a special focus on the growing Juniper Canyon area. Community input is vital to ensure the final plan aligns with the needs and priorities of Crook County residents. This interactive meeting will feature presentations from County staff and partner agencies, including information on: Recommended TSP projects based on community feedback; Access alternatives and preferred routes identified in the Juniper Canyon Alternative Access study; Updated cost estimates and funding options; Wildfire preparedness and juniper management. A Q&A session will follow the presentations, offering residents, landowners, and stakeholders an opportunity to provide input and ask questions.
